DEMOLA Latvia is a programme in which interdisciplinary student teams work on a real challenge posed by a participating company.

DEMOLA brings together the most talented students, providing them with design thinking training, individual team facilitators, counseling and RTU Design Factory prototyping support for the development of a challenge solution.
Students may receive a monthly grant of €200-228 for participating in the programme.

How is DEMOLA Latvia going?
Seasonal participating companies create a challenge, in line with the season’s future practice, while students apply for the most binding and appropriate ones. Interprofessional student groups created during the implementation of the programme attend lectures and practice sessions, receive the support of experts and team leaders, leading to innovative solutions to the challenge posed by the company.

DEMOLA Latvia is a joint project of RTU – Riga Technical University & University of Latvia, which has been successful for 5 seasons. From the autumn of this year, DEMOLA Latvia is part of project 1.1.1.3/18/A/001 “RTU innovation grants for students” co-financed by the ERDF, which focuses on the development of innovative student thinking and entrepreneurial capacity. Organized in cooperation with RTU – Riga Technical University and the University of Latvia.
