On September 22, 2017, BA School of Business and Finance held a conference “Risk Management Gaming in practice”. The conference was organized by the Erasmus+ project team PERM (Partnerships to ensure Risk Management in practice). Within the framework of the project, the team developed a complex risk management system, which includes methodology and IT software.
The central event of the conference was the presentation of the risk management simulation software created by the project’s team, which provides the user with an opportunity to assess business risks and the reasonableness and quality of risk management. Participants of the conference expressed interest in the developed IT software and evaluated the opportunities offered by it, highlighting the potential of the tool in various sectors, in particular in the possibilities to educate public about the importance of risk management. The obtained results during the project, including the developed methodology and risk management IT software is available to anyone interested free of charge at the project website www.perm.lv – IT software http://perm.ba.lv/.
Also, the conference included a broad program with international risk management professionals, who analysed the issues of risk management in the context of the education sector and business management. The PERM team is thankful to colleagues, partners and all other involved parties from Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the United States, Norway and Latvia for their interest and participation in the conference.
