On 29 May 2019, BA School of Business and Finance organizes an expert discussion “The importance of quality management in higher education”. Higher education policy-makers, experts representing quality assurance bodies that provide quality evaluation of study programs and higher education institutions, as well as leading industry experts and representatives of the student self-government will share their experience and views on quality assurance.
Comprehensive quality management is essential for ensuring international relevance, comparability and competitiveness of today’s higher education. The quality of higher education provision, science and research results, cooperation management and university governance are key areas where higher education institutions seek and apply the most relevant guidelines and models contributing to the objectives and continuous development.
The aim of the discussion is to assess the role of quality management in the development of higher education institutions in the context of cooperation and competitiveness.
Within the framework of the event, BA School of Business and Finance will be awarded “Investors in Excellence” certificate which shows that a management quality system is based on the principles of total quality management and approves that BA School of Business and Finance operates on total quality management system and excellence approach in its quality assurance.
The certificate will be issued by the UK quality assessors organization “Investors in Excellence”, its official representative Latvia Excellence.
In 2019, the development and re-certification of the quality management system of BA School of Business and Finance was funded by European Social Fund and the state budget within the project “Support to BA School of Business and Finance governance”, project No.8.2.3.0/18. A/001
