BA School of Business and Finance and ALTUM conference – current challenges in the interaction of universities and business environment


BA School of Business and Finance and JSC “Development Financial Institution Altum” 24.03.2021. organizes a conference “Interaction of Universities and Industries – Added Value and Challenges in the Digital Economy“.

The conference will take place during the annual information campaign “Digital Week 2021”, which is organized as part of the European campaign ALL DIGITAL Week. The Digital Week is organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Republic of Latvia in cooperation with the Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association (LIKTA).

The aim of the conference is to discuss the interaction between academia and industry with a wide range of experts in order to identify the preconditions and factors for building a partnership based on equal and sustainable benefits.

Andris Nātriņš, Vice-Rector for Research, Infrastructure and Business Development at the BA School of Business and Finance: “The agenda of digital transformation is a special aspect with a catalytic significance in the current situation. Emphasis is placed on the benefits of university-industry partnerships in terms of the ability of both parties to foster digital competences and build experience, which provides an ever-improving basis for adding value based on digital capabilities and digital innovation. Therefore, it is this aspect that will be given special attention in the conference presentations and discussion. “

Target audience: senior and middle managers of universities and companies, but everyone is welcome online. The conference will take place remotely on the ZOOM platform, streaming will be provided on the website of the national news portal LETA.
