I spent my Erasmus + period in Italy, in university called “Università degli Studi del Piemonte Orientale Amedeo Avogadro”, it’s located in a small town Novara, only some 60 km away from Milano. The city is a little bit bigger than Liepaja, it’s cozy and full with students. The university is well known in the northern Italy, studies and lectures are on a high level, but they are held in Italian language, except for the exams- they are in English. Professors prepare a list of literature in English. Studying and living in Novara has let me to improve my Italian language skills to a comparable high level and also to integrate in the Italian environment as I was the only Erasmus+ student in the faculty of economics. The feeling I had in this period was more similar to living there for a long term, not only as a temporary Erasmus+ period. I think that’s what I liked the most. I would recommend this university for students with a little knowledge in Italian language (it’s very important to find an apartment and to make all the necessary cards for living in Italy and also for the university), for students who are really interested in Italy and who are ready to study and work by individually.
