The presence of ISC (International Student Club) was very active at the university, they organized many events and trips for very good prices. The lectures were organized in the form of seminars as well as regular classes with a helpful addition of multi media technologies, e.g. video calls with partners in USA. Each student has a special student card, which can be used as a payment card for the student dorms, at the cantine and other facilities.
I was studying for one semester at Brno University of Technology, which is located in the second biggest city in the Czech Republic. The teaching staff was very responsive, ready to help the students with advice not only about studies, but also about everyday matters in Brno. The university offers a one week beginners Czech language course, which later comes in handy for communicating with locals, and a language course of the whole semester. Every semester different events, parties (especially mentionable are the Tuesday evening theme parties) and trips in Czech Republic and surrounding countries are organized by the university’s International Students Club. While studying in Brno you can acquire new knowledge from knowledgeable teaching staff, meet new friends from around the world, do sport, have a good time partying, explore the city by yourself and celebrate festivals with local people.
