The aim of this course is to develop the English language and communication skills job - seekers need to apply for the job or to secure it. The course is designed for intermediate level learners who need to use English during the job application process. The course will develop the specialist language knowledge and communication skills that job-seekers need / how to prepare CV and write an application letter, answer job interview questions etc./.
The course consists of 20 hours and is provided by the assistant professor of The Department of Foreign Languages Astrida Gegere- Zetterstroma.
- BUSINESS PRESENTATIONS
The course is designed for intermediate level learners who need to give presentations in today’s complex business environment. The course will advise you how to structure your presentation, organize all the key words and phrases you are likely to need, it will teach you how to make visuals work for you and deal with different types of questions effectively.

- BUSINESS CORRESPONDENCE
The course is for everyone studying or working in business who needs to write correspondence in English. It is suitable for learners of intermediate level. The course covers formal and informal style, layout of letters, e-mails and faxes and the practice of writing different types of correspondence such as letters of inquiry, complaint, apologies, etc.
The course contains 20 hours and is provided by the assistant professor of the Foreign Language Department, BA School of Business and Finance Lidija Kalniņa.

The course is aimed at improving your grammatical accuracy and is suitable for learners of intermediate level. It covers the use of tenses in active and passive voice, conditionals and other grammar necessary for effective business communication. The course contains 20 hours and is provided by the assistant professor of the Foreign Language Department, BA School of Business and Finance Lidija Kalniņa.

The course is meant not only for the students who want to improve their knowledge and practical skills in text making for business purposes and acquire deeper knowledge in the various types of business writings.

The course is provided for the digestion and improvement of everyday speech, so that the course participants could use knowledge not only during the trips but also in order to more easily integrate in the Germany labor market. Course themes may be adjusted to the needs of course participants.
