SBF places special emphasis on international dimension. Exchanges are administered by International Study Department. The students have the opportunity to study as exchange Erasmus students within undergraduate and postgraduate programmes under LLP-Erasmus programme in partner universities in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and UK. The students do placements in international companies abroad as part of their study programme. The number of students studying abroad increases with each year, thus in 2009/2010 academic year 96 students studied and did company placements abroad. More than 70 students participated in international student projects.

Diversity and international environment is ensured by international guest lecturers and entrepreneurs who lecture alongside with local academic staff. Every year SBF organizes a special international week which is designed so that international guest lecturers complement the study courses with international and global issues.
