From November 28 till December 2, 2011, BA School of Business and Finance was organizing an annual international Guest lecturer week. 18 guest lecturers from Belgium, Finland, France, UK, Poland, Italy, Portugal and Hungary hold lectures and workshops on Financial, Marketing, Innovation, Sustainability, Intercultural Communication and Project Management issues.

Motivated and the ones interested in participation in international projects to participate in 15th World business Dialogue held in University of Cologne, Germany. World business Dialogue is the biggest European student-run conference that brings together 300 business leaders, public and academic sector specialists and 300 students from all around the world. This is an annual event that takes place in spring, however application process to select the successful ones for the scholarship has already started.

BA School of Business and Finance (SBF) launches a new cooperation with People’s Republic of China. In 2010/2011 academic year the studentsof BA School of Business and Finance will have a new opportunity to participate in EU funded Erasmus IP project WISDOM 2010 in cooperation with partners from Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Spain, Finland, the Netherlands and Portugal.
Every year the students of BA School of Business and Finance do company placements abroad in Belgium, Portugal, Germany, France, Poland and UK.
Next academic year 2010/2011 students will have new placement opportunities in companies in Germany, Ireland and Spain.

This week 21st to 23rd October BA School of Business and Finance is hosting a big international event – PRIME Networking association Annual General Meeting. BA School of Business and Finance is delighted to receive cooperation partners from 17 European countries, as well as the partner from Latin America, Columbia, Universidad de Ibague.
From 17th till 20th of September representatives from the Budapest Business School visited BA School of Business and Finance to discuss co-operation possibilities and to create a successful partnership. Delegation consisted of the rector of the Budapest Business School Eva Sandora-Krizst and vice-rector Balazs Ferkelt (Financial and Accounting College Dean) Andras Janosa.
In September three foreign guest lecturers will visit the BA School of Business and Finance. From 7th till 10th of September three guest speakers will give lectures to the BA School of Business and Finance students. Guest lecturer Nathan Keeves from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (Germany) will give an English language classes on theme “How to build up a presentation”. Lecturers Wlodzimierz Wudarzewski and Jerzy Jagoda from Wroclav School of Banking (Poland) will organize business simulation game in Strategic management course.
University Campus and New Study Programs of BA School of Business and Finance BA School of Business and Finance has started a new project to develop university campus using the PPP approach. The project expects to build a modern university campus with faculty and administrative buildings, student dorms, sport centre, café, etc. - everything which is needed to ensure efficient study process.

Membership at EFMD can be acquired only by those schools, which have proven to have high quality education standards and have actively participated in student and academic staff international exchange programs.
On the 6th of June, the Latvian citizens will have the opportunity to vote for their representation in the new European Parliament. The European Union is playing an increasing role on society of its member states, and therefore the vote of the Latvian citizens is of high importance. Public lecture at BA School of Business and Finance will be held by European Parliament information office representatives Mr. Wouter A. Van der Wolk and Ms. Amelie Krüger.

The program is designed for those who intend to significantly enhance their knowledge in the wealth management process, due to their personal or professional needs. The program is content-oriented and comprehensively covers fundamental areas of wealth management brought by selected local as well as foreign professionals and academics. “Wealth Management” is a full-time program, which is based on the convenient “Flex-MBA” study schedule.
